T-Rex: When I was in high school the teacher told us the proper way to cite a webpage in a bibliography was to include the name and author and date accessed.
T-Rex: But NOT the url!
T-Rex: NEVER the url!!
T-Rex: And it's been years since then and I just wanna say: she was wrong. She was wrong and I was SO right and she refused to admit it at the time but it's just wild to cite a webpage without including the one piece of data that makes it unique across THE ENTIRE INTERNET.
Utahraptor: But web pages can go down, rendering the url unresponsive!
T-Rex: Sure!
T-Rex: Good thing we've got web archives, which, again, use the url as the search key. Honestly, I just can't believe HOW right I was.
Utahraptor: It's decades later and you're still talking about it... you sure this is healthy and not weird and obsessive??
T-Rex: 〚thinks〛 OH MAN
T-Rex: 〚thinks〛 WAIT TILL MY FRIENDS IN 20 YEARS HEAR WHAT I'M GONNA SAY NEXT
