T-Rex: Sometime - nay, OFTENTIMES? - a TV show will fall down on its last episode.
T-Rex: The finale will be no good and it'll retroactively make the entire series worse!!
T-Rex: However, I have come up with the perfect solution: write the ending first! Write the most amazing ending, and then work BACKWARDS from that to craft the ultimate story to lead up to it.
T-Rex: Done! Easy!
T-Rex: People should do that way more often!
Utahraptor: Except stories grow in the telling!
T-Rex: Oh yeah! Frig, forgot about that.
T-Rex: Characters change and evolve and in a few years the old ending won't work. Okay, well, TV's too hard and we should all go back to radio plays and novels!
Utahraptor: Those can have problems too. Non-narrative cave paintings?
T-Rex: Utahraptor. I LOVE IT.
Narrator: LATER:
T-Rex: This is my cave painting of a bull! It says "I saw a bull."
T-Rex: *sigh*
T-Rex: It's a pretty great story, all things considered
