T-Rex: Cornerstones in buildings these days are just rocks at the corners of buildings with names and dates and whatnot! Maybe a time capsule if you're basic.
T-Rex: But they used to be WAY more metal!!
Dromiceiomimus: Wait, are you saying they used to be - literally metal?
T-Rex: No, Dromiceiomimus! I'm saying they used to involve BLOOD and SACRIFICE. Like LITERAL HUMAN SACRIFICE.
Utahraptor: That's not so bad - helps keep the human population down.
T-Rex: Sure!
T-Rex: Sometimes sacrificial blood made a building strong, sometimes you bury someone's MEASUREMENTS under the stone (which would then steal their soul and kill 'em 40 days later and make a building strong) and SOMETIMES just placing the stone on someone's shadow was enough for the ol' building/murder combo!
T-Rex: It just goes to show you that without building codes, history people were so horny for good buildings that they made up their own!
Off panel: I'd love to learn history without the phrase "history people were so horny for".
T-Rex: And yet, I'm so horny for the opposite??
