T-Rex: TV show writers sure do love a story in which a couple has a dispute over having children! One wants them, one doesn't! Will they reconcile? Yes. And will they decide to have children?
T-Rex: Also yes!!
T-Rex: I can't think of a SINGLE tv show or movie that had the "Oh no, I want kids but my committed and loving partner DOESN'T!" conflict that ended with them reconciling, deciding NOT to have kids, and living happily ever after. And yet these things must happen every day, right?
Utahraptor: Perhaps the urge to have kids is SO STRONG in some that it leaves them physically unable to write different endings??
T-Rex: It's a theory that fits the facts! And I mean, AS a former kid, I get their attraction. Like all children, I ruled EXTREMELY hard and brought endless joy to my parents with no downsides.
Utahraptor: Same.
Narrator: LATER, AN OFF-PANEL COUPLE DECIDES NOT TO HAVE KIDS:
T-Rex: So THAT'S what that looks like!
Off panel: Sir, this is a private conversation.
T-Rex: I know, sorry, it's just really satisfying to me!
T-Rex: Anyway
T-Rex: Sorry again
