T-Rex: We have a hard time imagining large numbers! Try to imagine three apples and you can no problem, but imagine a million apples and we all go "eh, it's a lot, and arguably TOO MANY, apples".
T-Rex: And we're not the only species to do this!
T-Rex: Crows can count to around 8 before giving up and saying "a lot" - we know this by experiments in which 3 scary farmers enter a desirable field but then only 2 leave, showing the crows can count the hidden farmer to know when it's safe to go in and gobble all their grain. So what's the upper limit on OUR intuitive understanding? Somewhere between 8 and a million, clearly!
Utahraptor: Crows might count higher if they could mark tallies, like we do.
T-Rex: Sure!
T-Rex: But the bottom line is neither us nor birds nor any other animals that I know of have an intuitive understanding of "a million", and the sooner we accept that the better. Do you agree?
Utahraptor: I'm actually not that interested in discussing this, so... fine?
T-Rex: Utahraptor!
Off panel: What? You ask me to agree, this is me agreeing! This is me saying yes, yes, a million times yes!
T-Rex: NO!
T-Rex: I will accept a thousand times AT MOST, and that is STRETCHING it!!
