T-Rex: Beowulf is still read today! It's reasonably popular, ESPECIALLY for a poem!
T-Rex: But a lot of that popularity is because it's OLD!
T-Rex: And YES it's pretty cool and features a rockin' dragon who FRIGGIN' DIES, but a lot of its interest comes from the fact that it IS so old that all we know about it comes from a single copy. And you've gotta wonder what OTHER epic stories were being published then that are now forgotten? That's what *I* wanna read.
Utahraptor: You wanna read stories so obscure they're literally lost forever.
T-Rex: YES PLEASE.
T-Rex: I'm so indie that my favourite poem NO LONGER EXISTS. What am I thinking about? Oh, you've never heard of it because IT LITERALLY CANNOT BE FOUND IN THE HISTORICAL RECORD. The last person to read it died over a thousand years ago; any knowledge it contained left the world when they did.
T-Rex: To answer your question, yes I AM at hitherto unconceived levels of cool and I simply shan't apologize!
