T-Rex: There's an episode of Star Trek where Uhura gets her brain wiped clean and then she re-learns EVERYTHING SHE EVER KNEW in a week! So, like -
T-Rex: What the heck is boldly going on in that episode??
T-Rex: Her memory was WIPED, so even IF she could re-learn how to be a Federation officer in the space of a week, her MEMORIES can't be re-learnt, right? So then it's an entirely different Uhura walking around, and the original DIED, and everyone is just COOL with this?
Utahraptor: We're relitigating a Star Trek episode that's HALF A CENTURY OLD??
T-Rex: And how!
Utahraptor: Well, then I'd say that the fact that Uhura was the same person, and could "re-learn" a lifetime of information in the space of a week, clearly demonstrates that her mind wasn't TRULY erased and the info in her brain was recoverable.
T-Rex: But that's not what they say in the episode!!
Off panel: But it's what I say now, and I do it with grace, so that you, my friend, might finally know peace.
T-Rex: Ohhhhhhhh.
T-Rex: Listen, I appreciate the effort but take thinking about Star Trek from me and I'm not sure there's anything left??
