T-Rex: Batman, who was the world's greatest bat-themed detective, furrowed his brow in bat-themed annoyance.
T-Rex: His mask brow was always furrowed, but beneath that mask, his real brow furrowed to match!!
T-Rex: He was up against a new villain - and this one was ALSO bat-themed. "What the heck, I thought I had the copyright on bats," he muttered.
Dromiceiomimus: And what was this new villain doing?
T-Rex: MURDERIN' DUDES!!
T-Rex: So Batman beat up the villain and stopped him from murderin', and then said to not steal his look anymore!!
Utahraptor: Huh!
Utahraptor: It's just - I thought Batman's whole deal was that criminals are afraid of bats. Wouldn't a murdery Batman only make them MORE afraid of bats - ESPECIALLY bat men?? Wouldn't this help Bruce in his one-man war against crime??
T-Rex: He hates crime, Utahraptor... AND MURDER IS A CRIME!!
T-Rex: Violating copyright is a crime too, BUT: the murder one was bigger, and less self-serving, so that's what he led with.
Off panel: Makes sense!
T-Rex: It DOES make sense, thank you!!
T-Rex: That's how come I wrote it that way!
