T-Rex: Thanks to spending a childhood looking at old EGA adventure games, it takes but ONE GLANCE at that art style and I can feel like a kid again! It's emotional time travel!
T-Rex: AGE PAYS OFF AGAIN!
T-Rex: It's the same way that a generation after me can look at low poly N64-style graphics and be home again, or low-poly and slightly-more-textured PS1 graphics and feel the same. We spent our childhood looking at games that looked like that, and then STOPPED, so they feel like youth to us even now!!
Utahraptor: Like hearing a song you listened to all the time one summer, but haven't heard since!
T-Rex: Precisely!
T-Rex: But kids today will never have that! They don't GET a generational games aesthetic, because now the tech has advanced enough that their games can look like anything!
Utahraptor: Except they COULD still play one distinctive game a ton, like say MINECRAFT, and have the same sense of nostalgia later on.
Off panel: So, that's a thing. Plus since they're younger, kids will live long enough to play future games that are way more fun and immersive than anything we'll ever have!
T-Rex: *sigh*
T-Rex: AGE LOSES, YOUTH WINS AGAIN
