T-Rex: But it occurs to me: I've never even met the man! Nobody has. He's MADE UP and we're all obsessed with trying to find out what sort of adventures he goes on. Isn't that strange? That we'd all care SO MUCH about someone fictional when the world's full of real people?

Utahraptor: Not really! There's fictional characters even more popular than Sherlock, remember!

Utahraptor: Honestly, I'd bet good money that there's more stories, poems, art, and songs written about just SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG - your basic Edgelord Sonic - than there will ever be created about you, me, or anyone we know. When we die we'll disappear, but THEY'RE immortal.
