T-Rex: I have long thought that I can save video games to play in my retirement, when they're old and therefore cheaper! It was the perfect plan to have a rad and affordable retirement...
T-Rex: ...but turns out it's NOT the perfect plan after all??
T-Rex: Because GAME TECHNOLOGY EVOLVES, and if I play something decades from now, I'll be seeing it with different eyes. The graphics, gameplay, and mechanics that seem so amazing NOW will seem quaint and dated then! I'm RUINING the game for myself, simply by waiting!!
Utahraptor: So to appreciate games as they're intended, you can't wait too long to play them!
T-Rex: Exactly!
T-Rex: And, since time is ever marching forward, to TRULY play games as they were intended by the developers, to TRULY respect their artistic vision, I have to play them on the day they're released. Anything else adds unintended elements and dilutes its impact, which is unfair to both the artists AND myself.
Off panel: I like how you've made taking a day off to play video games the day they release into a defensible moral imperative.
T-Rex: Thanks!
T-Rex: I like it too, that's how come I did it
