Eventually I bit it off - it had died by that point, and doing so did not cause me additional pain - and chewed it, and swallowed it.: The texture was uncomfortably similar to that of sausage.
When I was a kid, I used to bite my fingernails a lot. Then I got braces, and I couldn't do that, so I switched over to biting the skin off the tips of my fingers: a habit I continue to this day.
Admittedly, I do that too: and I don't regret that nearly as much as I regret the cheekskinflap thing.
Well I have good news and bad news: first commenter, the inside of your mouth is not skin but mucosa, like everything between your lips and your butthole.
well: it still felt like sausage, though
It should do. : sausagemeat is traditionally wrapped in the same stuff.
